Service Date August 22, 2018

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 22 ,2018 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 901 Walker School Rd. Maryville, TN with Rev. Scott Linginfelter and Rev. Beecher Whitehead officiating . Receiving of friends will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with service to follow. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Blount County Community Action Agency, 3509 Tuckaleechee Pike Maryville, TN 37803.

My Dad is James Gibson, and he passed away in July. He and Tom worked together at Farrport IGA in the late 70's & 80's. He and Dad were good friends and as kids, we all loved Tom. We talked of him often. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I have known Tom as far back as my memory goes. It was my pleasure to have known him. Through the years he asked me why my head was shaped so funny. I'm sure he said the same to other people. I still liked him.
