The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Ray Caldwell and grandson, Conner Everett officiating. Family and friends will all meet 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 27, 2024, at Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service.   The family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

Willie Pearl Gibbs Caldwell, age 88 of Walland, TN went home to be with Jesus on September 23, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1935, to Dory and Alice Gibbs of Louisville, TN and attended Friendsville High School. On August 9, 1964, Willie married Rev. Ray Caldwell. For the next 60 years, she was a dedicated, loving, wife, working alongside her husband as he pastored churches in Blount, Knox, and Loudon counties. Willie became a Christian at an early age, and her greatest joy was serving Christ. She was a long-term employee of Green Meadow Childcare and Broadway Baptist Childcare. In addition to her parents, those awaiting her in Heaven were her grandson: Shawn Michael Caldwell, and sisters: Alice Houston, Dorothy Reagan, Katherine Holloway, and Linda Byrd. She is survived by husband: Rev. Ray Caldwell of Walland, TN, daughter and son-in-law: Lori and Jim Everett of Walland, TN, son: Kevin Caldwell of Maryville, TN, grandchildren: Chelsey and Drew Lynn, Jessica Caldwell, Sarah and Nathan Varner, Jennifer Caldwell, and Conner Everett, great grandchildren: Hunter, Maddie, Riley, and Elijah, sister: Ann (and Chet) Gredig of Walland, TN, brother: Ed (and Kathyrene) Gibbs of Louisville, TN. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for Willie.
