A Celebration of Life service will be held at High Praises Church on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at 4:00 pm. The church is located at 1412 East Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37804. The church will provide a meal for the family. If you plan to attend, please contact Belinda Headrick.

William Taylor Sands left this ole world Tuesday night, October 19, 2021, and entered his eternal home to be with the Lord. He was known as a sweet, kind, true gentleman with a calm, quiet demeanor who would lend a helping hand whenever needed, a builder and fixer of most anything, and an avid animal whisperer. He also loved storytelling. He loved his wife passionately and had a constant goal to please her. He fought a good fight, battling cancer the past few years. His suffering is now over. He will be greatly missed! “Well done, good and faithful servant. … Enter into the joy of your Lord! William was preceded in death by his parents: Daniel Sands and Margaret Leoma (Ward) Sands, brothers: Dewayne, Lowell, and Ronald Sands, sister: Arletta Sands, son: David Sands, granddaughter: Amber Westhoff, and great granddaughter: Elowen Headrick. William is survived by his loving wife: Barbara (Roberson) Bogart Sands, brothers: Sam and Diana Sands, Tim and Nina Sands, and Bruce Sands, sister: Jeanette Dewitt, Estell and Don Newman, and Sharon Sands, sisters-in-law: Shirley Sands and Joanne Sands, children: Julie Sands, Shawn and Julie Sands, Charles and Kristine Bogart, Belinda and Allen Headrick, Tammy and Larry McElroy, and Crystal Bogart, grandchildren: Jared and Laura Headrick, Daren Headrick, Shelby Sands, Brittany Sands, Corey Pulver, Ali Wagstaff, Marissa McElroy, T.J. Gibson, Emma Gibson, Elijah Bogart, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, High Praises Church Family, and a life-time of friends.
