William Edward “Eddie” Patty, 75 of Maryville, passed away May 26, 2026, after a short courageous battle with cancer. Prior to retiring from Advance Auto Parts after 28 years, he was previously the owner of Eddie’s BP on Broadway. He was a loving father, brother, and a best friend to all who knew him. He was a faithful member of Zion Chapel Baptist Church, where he served on the cemetery committee for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by wife: Connie, daughter: Carrie, parents: Thomas and Juanita Patty, brother: Donnie, grandparents: Herbert and Bertha Hunt, and Ira and Birdie Russell, special aunt: Elsie Hunt, mother and father-in-law: Edwina and Cecil Purkey, sisters-in-law: Jane Finger, sister and brother-in-law: Tammy and Larry Basler, brother-in-law: Eddie Reagan, and nephew: Josh Basler. He is survived by son: Brandon Patty, sister and brother-in-law: Rose and Larry Justus, special uncle: Glen Hunt, and special cousin: Pam Pointon (Cindy, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Bella Jones), nephews: Travis and Stacey Reagan (Cora and Callie), Dan Reagan and Tanja, Joe Reagan and Wilma, Tony and Dawn Reagan, (Mindy, Dylan, and Porter Richardson), Larry Wade and Carrie Justus, Jason and Tiffany Basler (Jaden, Josh, and Abigail), niece: Missy Patty, great niece: Megan Cuneo.
