Obituaries

My earliest memory of Uncle Walter and his sense of humor goes way back to summer, 1948, when my mother and I stayed for a time with Grandmother and Uncle Walter, about age 15, in Louisville. My clearest recollection is that he had me, about age 5, absolutely convinced that he could swallow a yo-yo and pull it back up. I was amazed. Some things you never forget…but how did he do it? I’m sure there are many such happy memories for all who knew him. Kitty and I send our sincere condolences to Mary Nell and all who had the opportunity to know Walter, his gentleness and quiet sense of humor.

What a void is in my heart. I loved my sweet " Uncle Wawa" so very much. He will truly be missed by our little family. Jace and Brennan are just heart broken and I thought they would not stop crying when we told them. He was very special to them.They had just asked last week if we could go see Uncle Wawa soon. We will be in prayer. Our hearts and minds are full of many fond and happy memories of this sweet man. Brad, Nicole and Matthew send their love. We will never forget his smile, his chuckles and his "mumbling! I am so grateful that he has been a part of my entire life and the life of my family. Rest in Peace My Sweet Uncle, I love you and will miss you. Connie
