Vanessa D. Lane passed away at the age of 51, as the result of a tragic accident on April 18th, 2024. Born to Rick and Harldene on October 12th, 1972. She lived most of her life in Blount County, Tn with the majority of her family until she made the move to Virginia in 2009. She remained in Virginia until her death. She was preceded in death by her father Rick Whitener, mother Harldene Wilburn, grandparents Charles and Mary Whitener, grandparents Harold and Arzella Goddard, and uncle Fred Waltermyer. Vanessa is survived by her children Daniel Willis and Monique Parks, four grandchildren, sister Vickie Tackett and brother Vincent Whitener, stepfather Don Wilburn, stepbrother Jeff Wilburn, stepsister Donna Shedd, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
