Sammie Adams, 77, of Maryville, TN passed away peacefully at Blount Memorial Hospital on 7-29-24 surrounded by family.
He was a machinist by trade and had several hobbies including: gardening, restoring antique tractors, playing the mandolin, and spending time with family and friends.
Sammie was preceded in death by his Father Marvin Adams, Mother Ruth Braden Adams, Brother Dennis Adams, and Sisters Kathy and Sandra Adams.
Survivors include Wife of 52 years, Elaine Sellers Adams. Brothers, James and Michael Adams, Sister Barbara Adams. Children: Lora Myers (Ernie Myers), Traci Gentry (Donnie Wenta), and James Adams (Miranda Adams). Grandchildren: Michael and Tommy Morton, Kasey and Katie Myers. Several nieces and nephews and great grandchildren. Lifelong friends: Harold Tipton, Jack Ledbetter, David Fugate, and Alan Nelson.
Sammie was a person worth knowing and was dearly loved by his family. Services will be held by Memorial Funeral Home with receiving of friends being held on 08-01 from 5p-7p with funeral following at 7pm. Reverend Rex Everett officiating. Graveside service on 8-02 at 11am at Forest Hill Cemetery. All family and friends are welcome to attend .
