The family will receive friends 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 19, 2017 at Dripping Springs Baptist Church in Seymour, TN. Funeral services will be held at the church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jack Hitch and Pastor Mike Seagle officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family request all flowers be sent to Dripping Springs Baptist Church.

Rudy D. Abbott, age 83, passed away on December 15, 2017 at his home in Seymour, TN. He was retired from City of Alcoa, a member of Dripping Springs Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by Parents: George Wiley and Anna Louise Abbott, Brother: Buford Roland Abbott, and Son: Robert L. Harmon. He is survived by his Wife of 45 years: Shirley Abbott, Children: Arbedella (Mark) Womack, Wade Harmon, Stanley (Kathleen) Harmon, Samuel (Sharon Ogle) Harmon, and John (Wendy) Abbott, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews. The family request all flowers be sent to Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
