Obituaries

Richard Leon Welch went to his forever home on January 31, 2022.  Richard had nothing but love for others and everyone he came into contact with lives were better for knowing him.  Richard did not have “friends”; everyone he met became his family.  He loved his TGI Fridays family, his Asbury family, and his work brother Johnathan Cogburn.  He took pride in his work and all those he worked alongside.  Richard’s proudest accomplishment was his family.  He was an amazing husband and father.   He took pride in everything his children did and wanted to tell everyone about them.  He was also proud to be a graduate of Purdue Global University.  Richard was preceded in death by his sister: Darla.  He is survived by wife: Chelsea, children: Dazey (Jax) and Izabella (Lin), parents: Darrell (Trina) Welch, Rose (Rob) Lasher, mother and father-in-law: Rick (Robbin) Rose, brothers: Jeremy, Charlie, Dustin, sister: Ashleigh, sister-in-law: Katie, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  The family would also like to say a special thank you to Richard’s amazing team of nurses and CNA’s: Chandra Garland, Kim Robinson, Aresha Robinson, and Lucy Girt.
