Service Date January 15, 2023
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday January 15, 2023, at Cold Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday with Pastor Jeff Hickman officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Gideons International.

Richard Andrew McClanahan, age 82, entered the gates of Heaven on January 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by father and mother: Clarence “Sport” McClanahan and Dorothy “Lucille” McClanahan, and wife of 59 years: Rita McClanahan. He is survived by sons: Eddie (Tanya) McClanahan and Tony McClanahan, grandchildren: Amanda (Travis) Cotton, Whitney McClanahan, and Lauren McClanahan, great grandchildren: Macie Cotton and Lincoln James, brothers: Don, Wayne (Jane) and Jr McClanahan, several nieces and nephews. Richard was a veteran of the Army. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company and enjoyed many winters in Florida and a few in Texas. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church in Walland, TN. He enjoyed gardening and having breakfast with his Hardees and Herbs restaurant friends.
