The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville, TN from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 3, 2025, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 P.M. officiated by her grandson Rev. Philip Smith.

Paricia Fox Smith, age 94, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on September 29, 2025, from her son’s home in Maryville, Tennessee. Her husband Lloyd was by her side. Patricia loved reading and studying the Scriptures and telling others about Jesus. She was a longtime member of Fairview Methodist Church in Maryville. She loved cooking for family and friends, gardening, and growing flowers. In recent years she and her husband owned and operated Fox Stables in West Knoxville.
Patricia was preceded in death by parents, Joseph O. and Aileen Fox, her sister, Betty Middlecoff, her daughter, Cindy Smith Shields, and a great grandson, James Weston Smith. She is survived by her husband of seventy five years, Lloyd Smith, children, Weston Smith (Brenda), Joe Smith (Jeanie), and David Smith (Carla), and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also leaves behind the Uy family who immigrated to Tennessee from Cambodia in the 1970’s.
Along with the good folks at Memorial, the family would like to say a special thank you to all the caregivers at Gentiva Hospice who helped make Patricia’s last days peaceful and comfortable.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis.
