Morgan Lee “Buddy” Gant, 81, passed away at home on July 22, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He served in the United States Air Force for 33 years and was honorably discharged as an E6 TSGT. His primary specialty was Security Forces Craftsman. He received many decorations, medals, and ribbons for his service. He also worked for the State of Tennessee as security personnel, and served as a Blount County Sheriff’s Deputy for 4 years in the 70’s. He is survived by his daughter: Laura Leann Gant, stepdaughter: Traci McLemore, ex-wife and loving caregiver: Sandra Davis-Gant, sister: Linda Wayman, nephews: Christopher Wayman, Scott Stinnett, nieces: Teresa Allen, Alisa James, Janice Hege, and several great nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren, and great nephew.
