Mary Lou (Mayhew) Johnson, 79, of 5510 Brandon Park Dr., Maryville, Tennessee, went to be with our Lord on 22 February 2025 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tennessee. Mary was born on 9 May 1945 in Ravenna, Portage County, Ohio, later moving with her parents to Orange County, California. She graduated from Orange High School, Orange County, California, in 1962. Mary was a long-time member of Tuckaleechee Methodist Church in Townsend, and later, a member of RIO Revolution Church in Maryville.

Mary lived many years, from 1976 to the mid-1990s, in Townsend, Tennessee, before moving to Anaheim, California; Sevierville, Tennessee; then Bradenton, Florida; before returning to Maryville in 2012, where she lived with son, William Johnson. While in Anaheim, Mary attended trade school in the Police Administration program, but she remained a homemaker throughout her lifetime caring for four boys and a girl, and, later, their children.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Elsie (Owen) Mayhew. She is survived by siblings/spouses – George and Sarah (Mayhew) McDaniel, and John and Pamela Mayhew; children/ spouses – Gregory and Patricia (Johnson) Smith, Christopher Johnson, Michael, William Johnson, and Daniel and Sheri (Roberts) Johnson; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
