John “Johnny” Wesley Simerly, 84, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving wife of 59 years on Monday, July 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary, father, Ben, and brothers Richard “Dicky” and William “Bill.” He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; sons: Wesley, Paul “Tony” (Wanda), and David (Stephanie); grandchildren: Stephanie, Tonya, Tyann, Jonathon, Jarid, and Will; and several great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army and spent the remainder of his life working hard and supporting his family. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and everyone who knew him.
