Visitation with the family is on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, Maryville, TN. The burial will be held on Tuesday November 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa with Pastor Mike Arp officiating.

Janet Morton, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, with her husband Jerry by her side. Janet devoted her life to her family, her work, and to those she loved so deeply. Her kindness, her humor, her love for her cats, and her smile will be remembered always. She made an immeasurable impact within her family, and among her friends and coworkers. The loss of Janet will leave a deep void in the hearts of her husband Jerry, her family, and her extended work family at Twin City Buick. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Morton; her mother, Mary Lois Hicks Yearout; her sister, Pam Tilley (Eddy); and several beloved nieces and nephews. The family appreciates the prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
