The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 P.M. at Old Piney Cemetery, with Pastor Rex Everett officiating.

Janet Carol Potter, 72 of Maryville, went home to be with her Savior on October 27, 2026. She was born on January 9, 1954, to Charles and Marie Stickland. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter: Angel Lindsey, brothers: Stanley, Darrell, and Jeffery Strickland, and sister: Linda A. Strickland. She is survived by her husband: Allen Potter, sons: Wesley and Lucus Potter, sisters: Judy Dyer of Alcoa, and Kathy Baker of Peoria, IL, sisters-in-law: Judy Hutsell, Penny McCall of Tennessee, and Diane White of Georgia. She was blessed with 3 grandkids: Sara and Hunter Lindsey, and Tyler Vance of Maryville, a great grandmother to 5 babies whom she loved and adored: Aubrey Ledet, Carson Ledet, Carter Lindsey, Jace Lindsey, Brayden Lindsey, 1 special friend and caregiver of 2 years: Jerry.
