Service Date June 12, 2018

Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday June 12, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Dixon and Rev. Gary Cowan officiation. Family and friends will all meet 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Ballards Chapel Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.

One of the greatest blessings I've had in my life is getting to know James Hatcher and the whole family. It started out as a meeting in UT Med Ctr when I first started a job with Humana over 3 years ago. After just a few of those first weekly visits with him and The Family, we became friends that extended outside of just work. A lot of our visits turned into play time with the kids. Over the years I have come to know all of you well. James was maybe not just "one of a kind", but definitely in the Special People category. He was a kind, funny, strong man who cared about Judy and the family more than anything else. He was also a good friend and I will miss him. May you find peace with time. I love you all. Lisa
