Gwenette Sue Rhea, age 65, passed away on July 19, 2026. She was proceeded by her mother Flotilla Morgan, her father Beecher Cornwell, and her husband Timothy Rhea. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and laughter touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She cherished every moment spent with her loved ones and was always a source of comfort, joy, and encouragement. Sue loved her church family dearly and found great happiness in the relationships she built there. She enjoyed good food, watching her favorite soaps every day, and sharing laughter with those around her. She is survived by her step mother Sandie Clark, her sisters, Mona Poole, Daphne Jakubowski and Carol Cunningham, and her brother, Jay Cornwell. Her daughters: Emmeline Baker, Ariella Nichols, Tessa Carr, and Teleah Burns; Her grandchildren: Caleb Demastes, Jensen Jones, Benjamin Baker, Sawyer Baker, Kaiden Murphy, Keirsten Abbott, Natalie Nichols, Dean McAtee, Adalyn Richards, Jarryn Carr, Jaceyn Carr, Christopher Burns, Nichols Burns, Patrick Burns, and Oliver Burns; and her great-grandchildren, Ariabella Murphy, Beau and Waylon Burns. Sue’s memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. Her family will continue to carry her love, laughter, and strength with them always.
