Obituaries

Gary Allen Hamilton, 73, born January 19, 1949, and passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on January 3, 2023.  He enjoyed a long career in Law Enforcement, with a brief break working all over the county for a few years in Nuclear Pipe Insulation.  He then returned to the career he loved.  He enjoyed bible study, traveling, crossword puzzles, camping, motorcycle riding with friends, and family activities.  He loved his RIO East Church and church family.  He spent many years in leadership roles of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.  He was preceded in death by parents: Ira and Lucy Hurst Hamilton, half-sister, infant brother, niece, and wife: Donna D. Hamilton.  He is survived by wife: Patricia Smith Hamilton, stepsons: Logan (Staci) Rickard of Maryville, Dr. Devin (Micah) Rickard of Jacksonville, FL, grandchildren: Levi, Alexis, and Sophia Rickard of Maryville, mother-in-law: Patricia A. (Clarence, deceased) Smith, brother-in-law: Clarence Bo (Trish) Smith, daughter: Amy and grandsons of Charleston, SC.
