Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Saturday September 23, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Scarbrough officiating. Family and friends will all meet 11:00 A.M. Sunday September 24, 2023, at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

In Loving Memory of Doris Scarbrough. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Doris, who gained her angel wings on September 18, 2023. She was a source of unwavering love, and a guiding light in our lives. Born on August 30, 1941, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Doris was a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, a cherished grandmother, and a true friend. Her kindness, generosity, and compassion knew no bounds, and her smile could brighten even the darkest of days. Throughout her life, Doris displayed incredible resilience, facing challenges with grace and determination. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love created a warm and welcoming home for her family, friends, and the children she cared for in her home. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Herb Labaw, her grandson Jacob Wright, her stepson Bill Scarbrough, and her stepdaughter Linda George. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lonnie, her children Leona Grubbs (Chip), Vivian Low (Clem), Bill Miller (Janie) and Sharon Kirkendoll, sister Lillian Ramey (Greg), grandchildren Cole Grubbs (Emily), Cal Grubbs, Dylan Wright (Rachel), Jared Wright, Lexy Low, Ally Bennett, Erin Russell, Christion Frye, Danny Carson (Kendra), and Tina Collin (Dennis). She was also loved by her sister-in-law / best friend Martha Meredieth and a host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. We will forever carry her love with us as we navigate the journey ahead. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
