Service Date February 9, 2024
The funeral service will be Friday February 9, 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with a rosary at 10:00 a.m., receiving friends from 10:00-12, and a funeral Mass at 12. The family and friends will meet at Calvery Catholic Church Cemetery 1916 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue Knoxville, TN 37915, at 3:00 P.M. Friday for graveside and interment services. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Fathers of Mercy, 806 Shaker Museum Road, Auburn, KY 42206.

Curtis Eugene Henderson, age 87, of Maryville, TN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 2, 2024. He was born in Blount County, Alabama on April 4, 1936 to Bertha and Chester Henderson. He met his future wife, Jean Marie Bishop in 6 th grade. They married on September 14, 1957, a union that lasted for 66 years. Curtis was a convert to Catholicism. He shared his faith at every opportunity, and served the church as an oblate of St. Benedict through St. Bernard’s Abbey in Cullman, AL. He was a loving father to his 7 children and instilled in them a strong faith and love of life. Curtis was the founder and owner of American Continental Techlab, Inc., a family business that operated for over 40 years, and was a proud member of the U. S. Army reserve. He is survived by his wife, Jean, children Steve (Connie), Father Chris Henderson, C.P.M., Suzanne (Eddie), Marilyn (Lee), Joseph (KyeHwa), Michele, John David (Jennifer), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
