Mr. Charles Duane Rodgers, of Louisville, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 77. Charles was born to parents Frank and Grace Rodgers on December 14, 1941. After attending Tyrone High School, Charles was active in the Marines as a Master Sergeant and served for 21 years. During his service, he obtained the distinction as a marksman, served on the 1973 Presidential Inaugural Commission, and was presented the good conduct medal in 1978. Charles was married to Gladys Veals-Rodgers for the last 25 years. They cared for son, Roger Dale, and their many animals. He was a man of many trades and could do anything. Besides working at U.T. Hospital as the Anesthesia Materials Coordinator, Charles enjoyed working on antique vehicles along with spending time with his loving wife. Charles is survived by his wife Gladys, two daughters, step-daughter, two sons, and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, and step son.
