The family will receive friends Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Brantley’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church: 403 McCall Rd., Maryville, TN 37804. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Brantley and Pastor Michael Erlacher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Brenda Ann Brantley, born October 1, 1944, and went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2026. Brenda was a loving mother of two children, a dedicated wife of 57 ½ years. She worked for 30 years as an Office Manager for an Electrical Sales Group, and proprietor of Peggy’s Flower Basket. Brenda was a member of the Upper Room Church, and she worshiped with a Church family she loved dearly. Brenda loved people and was always connected with people through stories of her life and experiences, and through cooking. She was an inspiration to many. Brenda served her family and friends with love and dedication. You were not allowed to visit her without eating. Her wit and humor, though often out there, was always present in any situation. The legacy of Brenda Brantley continues to live in the lives she touched while on this earth, and the wealth of love and dedication she gave to her family and friends. She will be looking for you at the throne of Jesus, in that eternal day! She was preceded in death by her husband: Dennis Brantley; father and mother: James and Rose Townsend; sisters: Carolyn, Claudette, and Betty; brother: Steve; father and mother-in-law: Clifford and Barsha Brantley; brother and sisters-in-law: Dede, Daniel, and Linda; and son-in-law: Andy Smith. Survivors include son: Mike with wife Donna Brantley; daughter: Gina Smith; as well as brother and sister in-law: Truman and Judy Brantley; grandchildren: Kyle Smith, Kayla and husband Johnathan Hamm, Noah and wife Gabby Brantley, Sarah-Beth Brantley, Abigail and husband Michael Lawson, and Kadin Smith; great grandchildren: Paisley, Lilly, Peyton, and Andi-Belle. There are also several nieces and nephews from the Tennessee and the Georgia areas.
