Betty Ross Young, 88 of Maryville, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. At the age of 4, Betty’s mother Virginia Wallin married John K. Young. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and so much more. She was Mamaw to everyone that walked in her house. She loved the friends she made at Midland McDonald’s. Betty was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church for several decades. Preceded in death by her parents John K. Young and Virginia Wallin Young, husband Kenneth Allen Young, grandchildren Jacob Young and Nikita Jenkins, son in law Robert Ward, daughter-in-law Renee Young, brother John K. Young Jr., sister Peggy Patterson, brother-in-law David Harris, Donald Young, sister-in-law Bobbi Young. Betty is survived by sons Jimmy Young (Cindi), Mike Young, daughters Sonja Ward, Tina Young (Steve Latham) grandchildren: Danielle McFarland, Savannah Young, Mike Ward (Amanda), Tori Jordan, Cody Ward (Megan), Stephanie Smith (Derek), Chara Boring (Brad), Chae Devine (Samantha) Kenneth Allen Young II, Josh Young (Ashley), Derrick Morris, Kellie Morris (Patrick Thomas), Brandy Paige (Randall), Terra Houser, (Cody); great-children: Ryker Smith, Katie Jordan, Brieanna Ward, Ophelia Ward, Damien Ward, Kolvey Ward, Roman Ward, Gabriel Ward, Jordan Young, Austin Brown, Hailey Mills, Addison Thomas, Lexi Morris, Bentley Orr, Kaylie Young, Tyler Thomas, Jaycee Boring, Emma Houser, Aiden Monroe (Kylie), Aubrey Devine, Onyx Boring, Ayla Boring, Riley Webb (Summer), Liley Snoderly, Shyla Hicks, Folsom McFarland, Ensley O’Connor, Lyric Jenkins, Journey Jenkins, Piper Wren. Betty is also survived by her sisters Linda Harris, Rachel Morgan (Chris), ex-daughter-in-law Kelley Young, brother-in-law, Dale Patterson. Sister-in-law Selena Young, plus a host family and friends to mourn her passing. Family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM
