There were so many nicknames in my dad’s family , but my Uncle Bert was just Bert. That summed him up perfectly. He was a wonderfully quirky but very down-to-earth man. Much like my late father, he also had a hilariously biting sense of humor. I miss the days when he and my dad picked on each other like they were still kids. I know there were struggles at times and things he had a hard time letting go, but he was my uncle, and I loved him. You are peace. Go with God, and tell Biggie that I love him.
