Barbara Joyce (Roberson) Bogart Sands
April 9, 1941 – March 25, 2022

Barbara Joyce (Roberson) Bogart Sands born April 9, 1941, left this ole world peacefully March 25, 2022, to enter her eternal home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was just shy of her 81st birthday. She will be greatly missed! “Well done, good and faithful servant. … Enter into the joy of your Lord! Barbara loved the Lord and was a praise and worshiper at heart. She loved High Praises Church, her church family, and Pastor Jackie Midkiff. She loved her family and adopting others into her family. She was a Jack (Jill)-of-All trades and would try her hand at fixing most anything. She was ahead of her time, utilizing technology and sharing her knowledge with others. Barbara inherited a strong work ethic from her mother. Her work history included years at Levi’s Strauss, Lee Roberson Art Gallery, and DENSO Manufacturing. Thereafter, she enjoyed retirement with her husband, spending time outside in her flower and vegetable gardens, canning and making jellies. She volunteered, leading the Cooks for Christ Ministry that fed homecooked meals to KARM, the GATE – Gateway to Independence Christmas parties for Special Needs young adults, as well as any other ministries that needed her help. Barbara was a graduate of Walland High School.
