June 25, 1938 - May 15, 2022 Service Date: May 16, 2022 Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday May 17, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Simerly and Elder Ricky Boring officiating. Family and friends will all meet 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 18, 2022, at Zion Chapel Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. |

Leonard Lee Greene age 83 longtime resident of Friendsville passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of May 15th. He worked in the marble industry for 47 years in the Friendsville area and retired with TN Marble Company at the age of 70. He loved gathering with his family and spending as much time as possible with them. He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 61 years: Trula Mae (McCarter) Greene, great granddaughter: Emilee Renee Hall, parents: West and ParyLee Greene, brothers: Junior (Lou) Greene, Stewart (Ruth) Greene, Ed (Justine) Greene, Howard and Glen Greene, sisters: Lillie Garland, Nellie Husky, Jean Miller, and Helen Greene. He is survived by his girls: RoseAnna (Ricky) Boring, Loretta (Pete) Lang, Robin (Sam) Lee, and Rhonda (James) Patty, his grandchildren: Matthew Lang, Ashley (Ritchie) Proffitt, Brittany Taylor, Kristin Hall, Katie Boring, Samantha Lee, and 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law: Lucille Greene of Maryville, and many nieces and nephews. | |
