July 14, 1939 - December 2, 2017 Service Date: December 6, 2017 Funeral services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday December 5, 2017 in the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Self officiating. Family and friends will all meet 1:00 P.M. Wednesday December 6, 2017 at Ellejoy Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Morganton Baptist Church in memory of Ruby. |

Ruby Kathleen Dixon, 78, passed away December 2, 2017. Shi is survived by her loving Husband: John Chester Dixon, Sr.; Son and his fiancée: John C. Dixon, Jr. and Leslee Davis; Special Daughter: Kathy Dixon; Granddaughter and her husband: Rebecca and Daniel McCloud; Great Grandson: Mason McCloud; Sister: Wilma Zink; Sisters-in-law: Beulah Damron, Donna Nelson, Diana Dixon, and Edna Dixon; Nieces and Nephews: Wanda Everett, Lisa Everett, Jay Cheeks, and Donna Everett: Special Friends: Sue and Shirley McBrayer, and Chad and Polly Evans. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Ben and Minnie Reagan, Father and mother-in-law: Otis and Phrona Dixon, Brother: Ben Reagan, Jr., Sister: Edna Reagan, Nephews: Tommy and Rick Everett, Nieces: Mary Frye and Betty Tevis, Brother-in-law: Jack Damron, Billy Dixon, Cecil Dixon, and Junior Dixon. She was a dedicated and extraordinary mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She loved her Lord and was a faithful Christian. She considered her church, Morganton Baptist, family and loved each member. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Morganton Baptist Church in memory of Ruby. | |
