Chester Myers Gredig

Chester Myers Gredig, 75, of Walland, TN, born August 31, 1949, passed away peacefully on Monday June 23, 2025. Survived by sons; Stanley Gredig, with fiancé Amanda Williams of Altoona, PA and Randall and Jami Gredig of Maryville, TN, sisters; Ann Sawyer of Walland and Myrtle Morton of Alcoa.  He was preceded in death by mother and father, Irene Gredig Hatcher and Ira Gredig, brothers; Asher Gredig, Lowell Gredig, and James Gredig, as well as, 42-year loving companion, Anna Russell.  A retired welder from Modene Mfg. Co., after 26 years of service, he was formerly employed at Tennessee Metal Culvert Co. and Franklin Brick Co., as well.  Known by most to be simple, direct, and a hard worker, he always enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking with friends and family, or just a good laugh. Beloved by his family and friends, he will be missed.
