David Walter Benson

David “Boss” Benson, 76, passed away May 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  David was born June 8, 1948, in Blount County to the late Ernest and Dixie Benson.  He was a beloved father, brother, papaw, and great papaw.  He is preceded in death by his brother: Harold Benson.  He is survived by his sons: David (Jennifer) of Maryville, Donnie (Vicky) of Rockford, grandchildren: Jonathon (Alicia), Aimee, Matthew, Bethany (Justin Crabtree), Kayla, Ethan, and Lilly, 11 great grandchildren, and siblings: Ralph (Liz) Benson, Pat (Shel) Chesky, Susie Slyman, Phyllis (Jerry) Crisp, and Viva Benson.
