Jason Neil Anderson was born November 13th, 1972 and departed his earthly life on June 9th, 2026. Jason was 53 years old when he went to be with our Lord, his beloved mother, Mary, bonus father, Ennis Scarborough, and many other loved ones that went to Glory Land before him. Jason died from complications of a stroke he had this past February.
A huge part of him died on the same day as our mother passed, September 2nd, 2023. He never recovered from grieving for her and having a broken heart from missing her tremendously.
Jason had the privilege to be the first and oldest grandchild on both his mother and father’s sides of the family. He gave our precious grandparents their names of MomMom, PopPop and Nanny.
Jason worked most of his life in retail and management positions at Food City, Kroger, and BlockBuster Video Store. He was a science fiction fanatic with a special love for Star Trek and Star Wars movies.
Although Jason never married, he treated his nieces and nephew as his own. He was the best and funnest uncle to Hanna, Peyton and Jenna King. They were the only other people that were ever allowed to play with his magnificent Star Wars toy collection. They will cherish the memories with their uncle and especially the experiences with him at the yearly Fanboy Expos he took them to.
Although he was not able to work or function his last 3 years of life, his stillness brought him time of good reflection upon himself spiritually. He knew he had to lean on God’s ever lasting arms. My brother was far from perfect, but he had a solid, loving heart.
Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Holly Potter and brother in law, Tom Potter; father and bonus mother, Tom and Barbara Anderson; numerous special aunts, uncles, and cousins; his beloved nieces, Hanna and Jenna Belle King and his precious nephew, Peyton King; his beloved dogs Scooby, Paco, Maggie, Otis and Shay (whom all were rehomed to loving families); special lifelong friend and pastor, Doug Hayes; special thanks to our cousin, Josh McKeel, whom helped take care of/lived with Jason during the last years of his life.
