Reba Nell Chastain Teffeteller, age 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Waters of Maryville Skilled Nursing Facility.  She was born May 12, 1932, to Caleb and Rose Stewart Chastain in the Mt. Zion Community near Vonore, Tennessee. Her family was living in Maryville in 1947, when she met her husband, I.G. Teffeteller, and married on March 15, 1948, in Chatsworth, Georgia.  Nell attended Tuckaleechee Chapel Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For 30 years, one of her hobbies was talking to friends on the C.B. radio, her handle being Five Foot Two.  She will be remembered for her loving and generous spirit. She was always the first to help someone in need, often opening her home to family members and friends without hesitation. More than anything, Nell was happiest when surrounded by her family. Her home became a cherished gathering place where weekends and summers were spent hosting grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and loved ones visiting from across the country. She found great joy in giving, and if anyone admired something of hers, chances were she would insist they take it home with them. Nell had a laugh that could brighten any room. Her warmth, kindness, and unconditional love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Caleb James and Laura Rose Stewart Chastain; husband of 63 years, I.G. Teffeteller; son, Grant Teffeteller; daughter, Robin Brogan; grandson, Matthew Gentry; son-in-law, William Gentry; brothers, Claude, Blake, and Joe Chastain; and sisters, Sue Stinnett, Mertice Poe, and Dora Marie Chastain. Nell was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Nell is survived by her children, Eloise Gentry, Eleanor (John) Stafford, and Glenn Teffeteller; grandchildren, Issac Gentry, Will Gentry, Jason Stafford, Jennifer Walker, Josh Teffeteller, Carrie Hilbert, Taylor Brogan, and Isabella Pickett; several great grandchildren; son-in-law, David Brogan; and daughter-in-law, Linda Teffeteller.
