September 3, 1968 - September 3, 2025 Service Date: September 8, 2025 The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, September 8th, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, 1102 Big Springs Road, Maryville, TN 37801. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Gertrude Osborne officiating. A burial and graveside service will follow on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Crossroads Tabernacle, 5728 Old Niles Ferry Pike, Greenback, TN 37742. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly through the Memorial Funeral Home website to assist with funeral expenses. |

“Peanut” Raymond Lee Hurst passed away peacefully in his home on his birthday, Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of memories filled with love, laughter, and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Ralph Hurst. He is survived by his daughter, Korey Hopkins and her three children; his son, Alex Hurst; his sisters, Regena Rogers and Cheryl Hurst; his brother, Ronald Hurst; and his mother, Minnie Jean Hurst. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles whom he deeply adored. Peanut will be forever missed by his family and friends, but his love, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in all who knew him. | |
