January 12, 1931 - August 30, 2024 Service Date: September 2, 2024 Funeral Services with be held at 6:00 pm Monday September 2, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Williamson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 am Tuesday September 3, 2024, at Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Baptist Church Alcoa, building fund. The Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Monday September 2, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Alcoa. |

James Ephraim Dial 93 of Alcoa went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2024. He was a pastor who served in 5 different states. He was also a missionary, church planter, and a police chaplain for the Alcoa Police Department. He was always a faithful servant of God’s calling. He provided a Christian home for his wife and children. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Jansen Dial, son James L. Dial, parents LeRoy and Laura Phelps Dial, brothers Nelson and William Dial, and sister Pearl Dial. He is survived by his children Betty Sue Morton, David (Kathy) Dial, and Penny Dial, daughter-in-law Judy Dial, 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild. | |
