Peggy Ann Barker

Peggy Ann (Weatherly) Barker was born on September 7, 1948, in Appalachia, Virginia. She formerly lived in Newport, Tennessee, and departed this life peacefully on April 20, 2024, at her home in Maryville, Tennessee. She loved playing cards with friends and family, was an avid reader, loved her dogs, and worked at the 411 Walmart for ten years before retiring. Peggy loved her family and cherished them to the fullest. She was also a member of Allegheny Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
She is preceded in death by parents James Andrew and Jewel “Tootsie” Weatherly, son Ricky Allen Barker, sisters Jewel “Tootie” Harvey, Ella Mae Blazer, brother James Andrew Weatherly. Niece Lisa Weatherly. Nephews Jimmy “Jimboy” Blazer, Joseph Weatherly, and Ronald Jeffrey Pearson.
She is survived by daughter Kimberly (Ronald) Goforth and son Darrell (Dawn) Barker Jr. Grandchildren Jimmie (Morgan) Jollay, Jessica (Dewayne) Schrimsher, Joshua Jollay, Darrah (KC) Wilkinson, Drake (Sydney) Barker, Rebekah (Jake) Ervin, Tyler (Beth) Goforth. Great grandchildren Wyatt Wilkinson, Oaklyn Jollay, Lincoln Ervin. Sisters Gloria Jean (Bill) Fain, Rosalee Pearson. Brother Richard (Tommy) Weatherly. Nieces Marcella Grooms, Jeanie Bryant, Elizabeth (Chris) Russell, Cindy (Tony) Feret, Candace Barnett. Nephews Justin Barnett and Jake Grooms.
