William “Bill” Carl Scarbrough, of Friendsville, TN, born March 16, 1965, passed away suddenly at home on May 19, 2023. As most of the family called him, Bubba was a beloved son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, boyfriend, and friend to those he held dear to his heart. Bill was preceded in death by his adored mother, Delores K. McCollum, sister Linda George, and nephew, Jacob Wright. He is survived by his father and stepmother (Lonnie and Doris Scarbrough), Dad/Pops (H.C. McCollum), girlfriend/life partner, Shannon Cansler; siblings include Vivian (Clem) Low, Leona (Chip) Grubbs, Katie Kirkendoll, and brother, Bill (Janie) Miller of Michigan, several nephews, and nieces. Bill will be remembered as someone who lived his life his way while jamming to rock-n-roll, cruising down the highway, and didn’t apologize for being himself. He took after his mother and had a talent for cooking, and enjoyed his job as the biscuit maker at Hardee’s for many years. His favorite pastime activities were camping, fishing, hunting, and collecting cast-iron cookware.
