Shirley Lorene Perkins was born on July 14, 1944, and passed away on May 25, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley was the kindest of souls and will be remembered for her smiling face, big laughs, and tight squeezes. She loved her family deeply and was proud of what she had built. She enjoyed fishing and took all of her grandchildren to “the pond” in her younger years. Shirley is survived by her spouse of 65 years, Thomas Perkins, Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Elvie Bryant, son Ralph Perkins, son in law Colon Smith, brother JD Bryant, and sisters Frances Blair and Virginia Murphy. Survivors include son, Thomas Perkins Jr, daughter Karen Smith, granddaughters Allison (Tyler) Marcum, Caitlin (Cole) Loveday, Chasiti (Brent) Chandler, grandsons Cameron (Lori) Perkins, Corey (Sarah) Smith, and Eric (Emily) Perkins. Great grandchildren include Cody, Saulomon & Olivea Perkins, River Marcum, Ellie, Declan and Aidan Perkins, and Jackson Loveday.
