Roger Allen Kerr, 68, of Maryville, TN, was taken from us far too soon on September 1, 2025, with his devoted wife by his side. Roger and his beloved Mickie shared an extraordinary journey of 53 years together, 49 of those as husband and wife, building a life full of love.

Roger was a man with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He never shied away from taking charge, whether it was working in the shop or at the track. Dirt track racing wasn’t just a hobby — it was his passion. As a racing business owner, Roger built lasting personal connections with his customers and took great pride in mentoring racers, helping them grow into winners both on and off the track. He loved the roar of the engines, the thrill of the competition, and the camaraderie it brought.

Beyond the track, Roger lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed camping under the stars, swimming on hot summer days, and hitting the open road on his Harley Davidson. His adventurous spirit showed in countless ways, including unforgettable antics like driving a hearse just for fun.

He is preceded in death by his son, Richie Kerr; his parents, J.T. and Imogene Kerr; and his brother, Tommy “Big Un” Kerr.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mickie Kerr; his sister, Cynthia Kerr-Scott (Steve); his grandchildren, Hunter Kerr (Whitney), Logan Kerr (Maddie), and Katie Kerr; his niece, Kristy Papaioannou (Billy); and his great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Adalynn, Maisyn, Emily, Dina, Alex, and Avery. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom he helped raise and loved deeply. Roger will be deeply missed by his lifelong best friend, Larry Jett, along with countless other friends and family who were touched by his remarkable life.

Roger’s legacy of love, laughter, mentorship, and fearless spirit will live on in all who knew him.
