Lois Patty age 93 Born in Cades Cove, peacefully passed away at home on July 27, 2025, she was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church, Lois was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Flora Coada, husband of 70 years James Patty, daughter Kate, brothers Bill, Bob and Myers Coada grandson Jay.  She is survived by her brother Kermit, sisters Betty and Bessie, sons J.R. and Thomas, 5 grandchildren Sybil (Scottie) Nicole and (Allen), Alex (Nikita) Leah, and Emmylou, 7 great grandchildren Alan, Alanna (Lewis), Jasmine, Raylon, Hannah, Megan, and Kayla, all of whom she loved dearly, several nieces and nephews and many friends who loved her, her hobbies were cooking and gardening she loved to tell of being born and raised in Cades Cove, Lois loved telling her stories and history of her life in The Cove, she like telling the stories of the antics and mischievousness she and her brothers and sisters got into, and with that colorful crew there were many tales, Except for Kermit of course, Lois loved children and for many years was a youth teacher at Bethel Church, Lois’s goodbyes were always followed by I love you, but Jesus Loves You more, Which is repeated by many young and old who had the pleasure of knowing her.
