The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 Friday December 30, 2022, at Memorial Funeral Home. Family and friends will all meet 11:00 A.M. Saturday December 31, 2022, at Bethel Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Fate Green officiating.

James A. Patty, born July 12, 1932, and passed away on December 27, 2022. He retired from the Great Smokey Mountains National Park Service. He was preceded in death by parents: Hester and Porter Patty, daughter: Kate Patty, and grandson: Jay Webb, sisters: Ruth and Anna, brothers: Billy and infant brother. Survivors include loving wife of 70 years: Lois C. Patty, sons: JR and Tom Patty, grandson: Alex Patty, granddaughters: Sybil (Scottie) Martin, Nicole (Allen) Patty, Leah and Emmylou Patty, great grandchildren: Alan, Alanna, Jasmine, Raylon, Hannah, and Megan.
