Service Date March 29, 2018

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville 1102 Big Springs Road with Pastor Donnie Morton, & Rev. Tony Adams officiating. The family and friends will meet at 12:15 P.M. Thursday March 29, 2018 to proceed to Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 P.M. Entombment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about the loss of brother George. I just think of it as a graduation from this earthly world to a heavenly home where there will never be any more pain or sorrow. I still remember him running around the benches and it warmed my heart so, I imagine he is really running now. My condolences to the family I know they will miss him, I will be praying for your all.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. George was a wonderful man and great pastor. We remember the night of his ordination service on July 7th 1993. We always loved the sermons he brought while we were members of Bright Hope. He gave our family so much love and compassion when my mother Martha Buchanan passed away suddenly. She always talked about how much she loved George and Barbara. I certainly believe they’ve had a wonderful reunion in Heaven.

George was a great man of God. His family made an impact on my life,from my childhood. I loved his smile and laugh but most of all his dedication to Jesus Christ. My condolences to the family and friends. Enjoy your Heavenly reward my friend.
