Charlie Max Driggers, 81, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1943, in Union Springs, Alabama, to the late Fannie Lou Hall Driggers and Charlie Dell Driggers. Charlie is known for the steady hand we could always count on. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Lindburgh Driggers and Joe Driggers, two sisters, Betty Gean Driggers and Martha Dean Bush, and nephew Donnie Driggers. Charlie was an extremely hard worker. He worked as an electrician for 40+ years, where he was well known for his strong work ethic. Beyond his professional life, Charlie was a devoted father and grandfather. He took immense pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Austin and Joseph were his pride and joy, and he would gladly share stories of them with anyone he met. He took great pride in being a Papaw and even more in being a Great-Papaw to Kinsley, Brooks, and our newest addition, Charlie “Banks”. Charlie leaves behind a legacy of love. He taught us so much and would always be the first one there when anyone needed anything. He is survived by his daughter, best friend and caregiver Mandy, and husband Major Cox. Grandchildren; Austin and fiancé Tangi, Joseph and wife Gabrielle; great grandchildren; Kinsley, Brooks, and Banks. Charlie held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, Joann Driggers Newman, Nancy Hamm, Monica Horne, Johnna Hortman, Brenda Crawford, Charles Driggers, Terry Driggers, Steve Driggers, and the late Donnie Driggers. The family would like to express their appreciation to Amedysis Home Health and Gentiva Hospice for the remarkable care they provided over the past month. We would also like to thank Dr. James Milhollin, Dr. Steve Noutong, Daniel Dominique, Krystal Hatfield, and staff, as well as Dr. Eric Schrock and staff.
