Carol Marie Mason, who loved to be called Mom and Gran by her daughter and grandkids, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 28th at 3:30 A.M. with her daughter Cristin by her side. Carol was born in Knoxville, TN on June 9, 1947, to Kyle and Martha Crawford. She moved to Gary, IN when she was a young child with her parents. Her father worked in a steel mill and her mother was a homemaker. Carol graduated from Emerson High School in Indiana. She soon after married and a few years later was blessed with the gift of motherhood. Shortly after Carol and her small little family moved to Oxnard, CA. A few years later she returned to her roots with her mother and daughter and resided in Maryville, TN. Carol worked faithfully for CVS Pharmacy for approximately 25 years and retired in 2021. She always enjoyed doing crafts, gift giving, decorating, and spending time with her family. Carol had a strong work ethic and loved her family and friends dearly. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother to Cristin and eventually becoming a grandmother to her amazing grandchildren Mason and Macy. In honoring Carol’s memory, let us carry forward her legacy of love and service. Let us live our lives in a way that would make her proud, embracing each day with joy and perseverance. And as she now rests in peace with our Lord and Savior knowing she was loved beyond measure and that her memory will live on for eternity. In lieu of flowers, Carol wanted to ensure the educational future of her grandchildren would be secure.
