Carlis D Hitson, age 77, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday June 17, 2024.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, father William Robert Histon (Dub), mother Euella Rowland Hitson, brother Dallas Wayne Hitson. Survived by his wife of 45 ½ years Sandra L. Welch Hitson, daughter Angie Hitson, son Anthony Wayne Hitson and spouse Jason Mynatt, granddaughter Abra Coning and spouse Anthony Pugh, mother-in-law Ruth Welch Wilson, sisters and brothers in law Diane and Bill Hudson, Randy and Susan Welch, Jeff and Edith Welch. Special brother Ernie Koella. Too many special friends to list.
He was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. He was Santa Claus for over 20 years for the City of Rockford, and Rockford Elementary School. He worked 57 years for Rockford Mfg. Co.
In lieu of flowers please spend time with your family, he would have loved that.
