The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Home, 1102 Big Springs Rd, Maryville, TN from 12:00 PM to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Clarks Grove Cemetery, Maryville, TN.

Walter Joseph Frankewich, Sr. (Frank) passed on to his Heavenly home on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Asbury Place in Maryville. He was born on June 16, 1926 in Little Falls, New York to Frank and Mary Frankewich. He was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. He retired from the Air Force in 1973 at the rank of Master Sergeant, having been to several countries while serving during World War II. He was very active in his church for many years serving as a Sunday School teacher and in many other positions. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wilma June Mitchell Frankewich; daughter Kim McQueen and son-in-law Jim; daughter, Donna Dantzler; Son Walt, Jr. and daughter-in-law Lisa; grandchildren Heather, Adrienne, Christopher, Justin, Timothy, and Ian; great-grandchildren Megan, Kyra, and Josephine; and special friend and caregiver, Sally Dennison. The family wishes to especially thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Knoxville and the Village at Asbury Place for their exceptional loving and tender care.
